Overview

This post is a resource for faculty teaching online graduate and certificate programs as well as the various staff and administrators who support these programs. It is intended to provide information and guidance around roles and procedures that will help faculty be most effective in preparing to design, develop, and teach online.

For All Faculty Teaching Online

  1. Attend workshops and trainings offered by the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL).
  2. Participate in Quality Matters professional development.
  3. Collaborate with eCampus to present/publish.

  1. Discuss your plans with your Department Head and/or the Program Lead.
  2. Learn about the Course Design and Development Process and Online Course Support Request Process. Contact eCampus for a consultation.
  3. Complete Exploring Online Learning (EOL), a 2-week online course.

  1. If it’s your first time teaching this course: Contact eCampus to request a Course Walk-through Consultation.
  2. Review Managing Your Online Course and customize your Course Facilitation Plan.
  3. Refer to Instructor Support for HuskyCT, attend a workshop, or watch an Ed Tech workshop recording.
