Getting Started

Welcome to UConn's eCampus! Whether you are a current or prospective UConn student, the information on this page will help you find what you came here for: access to a high quality UConn course, certificate or degree program that you can take in an online environment.

Use the chart below to help you get started.

Taking a Course Applying to a Degree or Certificate Program
as Matriculated student as Non-degree Student
(those not matriculated in an undergraduate or graduate degree program)
  1. Select an online course from the UConn eCampus course list. Take note of the class number.
  2. Check the course description for any enrollment restrictions, in-person requirements, proctored exams, etc.
  3. Review your program of study to confirm the course meets your program requirements.
  4. Register for the course.
  5. Prior to the start of the semester, you will receive an email outlining further instructions about accessing your online course.
  1. Select an online course from the UConn eCampus course list. Take note of class number, campus, department, course catalog number, section number, number of credits.
  2. Check the course description for any enrollment restrictions, in-person requirements, proctored exams, etc.
  3. Review the Non-Degree registration page and follow the steps for Non-Degree registration
  4. Prior to the start of the semester, you will receive an email outlining further instructions about accessing your online course.
  1. Select an online program from the UConn eCampus program list.
  2. Review the program description for any residency and other program requirements.
  3. Follow specific instructions on the Degree or Certificate Program website to request more information, take one course as a non-degree student, and/or apply for admission.
